Presented by: Stu Schwartz, Senior Research Scientist, University of Maryland Baltimore County; Adam Ortiz, Director, Department of the Environment, Prince George’s County; Sadie Drescher, Senior Program Officer, Chesapeake Bay Trust.
Conference Objectives: Accelerate Bay restoration goals by: 1) highlighting emerging scientific discovery, policy development, and
implementation by the public or private sectors; 2) enhancing BMP implementation of water quality goals to meet the TMDL, ecosystem health, and practices that also have the synergistic impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and 3) develop and implement a communication plan that translate and transmits the conference findings to a broader audience, particularly leading environmental decision-makers.
