Cooling Centers Open Starting Thursday to the Public due to Excessive Heat

Due to extreme heat this week with a dangerous heat index, the County Cooling Centers are available for any community members in need of a cool retreat. The Department of Community Services will be opening their buildings for use by the public with ice and water available. The following locations will be open: <br /><br />Sudlersville Senior Center<br />605 Foxxtown Road, Sudlersville MD<br /><br />Grasonville Senior Center<br />4802 Main Street, Grasonville MD<br /><br />Kent Island Senior Center<br />891 Love Point Road, Stevensville MD<br /><br />Cooling Centers will be open from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM:<br />Thursday, June 20<br />Friday, June 21<br />Monday, June 2<br />Tuesday, June 25<br /><br />Both Centreville and Kent Island branches of the Queen Anne’s County Library are also available as a cooling center.
