DC Police Unity Tour (2026)

The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff recently participated in the Police Unity Tour in Washington, DC. Corporal Armington, Detective Foot Constable Coale, and Detective Foot Constable Keller joined thousands of law enforcement officers from across the country in this annual event.

The Police Unity Tour honors the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial now bears the names of 24,775 fallen officers, representing those who have died in the line of duty from 1791 to the present day. This year alone, 363 names were added to the memorial.

During the event, the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff also honored Deputy Sheriff Jason Schwenz, who was killed in the line of duty while serving the residents of Queen Anne’s County. His sacrifice, along with the sacrifices of all fallen officers, continues to be remembered and honored.
