Accurate Workboat Models on Display at Visitors Center

The history of our Watermen and their workboats is being celebrated with an exhibit of nine workboat models created by Wye River Models and displayed now at the Chesapeake Heritage & Visitor Center through December 11. The workboat models include accurate details of actual working boats from this area such as the Kent Island Tuck Stern, the Skip Jack, the Chesapeake Bay Bugeye the Box Stern Workboat and more. The Chesapeake Heritage & Visitor Center, located in Kent Narrows at 425 Piney Narrows Rd, Chester is open to public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week through November and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays only beginning in December.
