Become A Foster with Queen Anne’s County Animal Services

Becoming an animal foster is easier and more rewarding than you might expect. Fostering supports both the animals and local shelters, while giving you the chance to welcome a pet into your home without the long term commitment of permanent ownership.

It is also a great way to see if a pet is the right fit for your household. At the same time, fostering helps shelters create space and ensures animals receive more personalized care as they prepare for adoption.

There are many ways to get involved, including caring for bottle babies, supporting nursing mothers, helping socialize shelter animals, or even participating in dog day trips and short-term care.

If you are interested in fostering, please contact Taylor Guelette, Foster and Rescue Coordinator, who is available to assist at any time at tguelette@qac.org
