Chesapeake Bay Health Report Card (Interviews)

Each year, the Chesapeake Bay is issued a report card to assess the water quality. This year, the Bay received a C (50%), a slight drop from last year’s C+ (55%). Bill Dennison and Fernando Miralles-Wilhelm emphasize that the dip is no cause for alarm. Instead, it reflects the ongoing progress being made and reinforces the importance of staying committed to long-term restoration efforts.

Fernando also highlights that this initiative extends beyond the Bay itself—it encompasses the entire watershed, spanning six states. It’s a massive undertaking, but thanks to the collaboration of numerous partners, there are clear signs of improvement.
