Presented by: Dr. Stephanie Lansing, Assistant Professor, Environmental Science and Technology College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, UMD; Dr. Rebecca Fox, Professor, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science; Judy Denver, Hydrologist, USGS Maryland-Delaware-DC Water Science Center.
Conference Objectives: Accelerate Bay restoration goals by: 1) highlighting emerging scientific discovery, policy development, and
implementation by the public or private sectors; 2) enhancing BMP implementation of water quality goals to meet the TMDL, ecosystem health, and practices that also have the synergistic impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and 3) develop and implement a communication plan that translate and transmits the conference findings to a broader audience, particularly leading environmental decision-makers.
