New Partnership between Department of Emergency Services and Church Hill Volunteer Fire Dept

4/2/2012 – Today a new pilot program started to better serve the citizens and visitors of Queen Anne’s County. In a partnership between the Church Hill Volunteer Fire Company and the Queen Anne’s County Department of Emergency Services, Paramedic 500 was placed in serivce. Chief Aftung of the Department of Emergency Services and Chief Jester of the Church Hill Volunteer Fire Company authorized the 60 day – 8 AM to
5 PM trial program in an effort to maximize coverage and resource allocation.

On certain days as spelled out in the agreement, the program moves Paramedic 400 (currently stationed on Safety Dr. in Centreville) to the Church Hill Volunteer Fire Company and renames it Paramedic 500. This provedes better paramedic unit coverage to the northwest section of Queen Anne’s County.
