QACHS CTE Masonry Class YMCA
We visited the CTE Masonry class at Queen Anne’s County High School and learned about what the students learn in this program from Mike Blackiston, the Masonry Instructor. The students also visited the construction site for the new YMCA and learned more about the project from the site Project Supervisor from KRM Construction.
QACPS Career and Technology Education (CTE) programs are responsive to shifting workforce priorities and emerging careers. Science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) are driving the 21st-Century economy. The CTE programs offered by QACPS help students prepare for success in a wide range of careers and continuing education. Students add value to their overall education by completing CTE programs of study that provide opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials and college credit while still in high school.
