Queen Anne’s County Office Of The Sheriff’s Civilian Volunteer Bike Trail Program

The Sheriff introduces the Civilian Volunteer Bike Trail Program and QACTV’s Bruce Grove interviews the first two volunteers.

Background: The Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff has implemented a new Civilian Volunteer Bike Trail Program. Volunteers in this program separate, from our Auxiliary Deputy Program, will be riding through our county parks and trails as an added layer of eyes and ears for our agency. These volunteers have no police powers but will be able to contact an agency representative or our dispatch center to report issues that they come across. These volunteer riders can be recognized by an agency issued traffic vest they will be wearing. We would like to thank these volunteers for their willingness to assist our Office. Please say hi to them as you encounter them in our parks and trails.
