This is the story of the role of the suffragettes in the passing of the 19th Amendment and the founding of the League of Women Voters (LWV), as told through stories of women whose ancestors had to struggle for voting rights. The public needs to be reminded of what the suffragettes fought for and why the LWV was founded, to ensure that voters are informed when they go to the polls to vote. Empowering voters defends democracy and democracy is worth fighting for!
