Watermen’s Story Swap 2018

GRASONVILLE — Local watermen met at the VFW, Post 7464, in Grasonville, Friday evening, April 20, as they did last year, to share stories of their lives and experiences on and around the waters of the Chesapeake Bay. The group was brought together by author Brent Lewis. Lewis has done this several times in recent years, bringing local watermen together to tell amazing stories and share a look at fascinating historical artifacts pulled up from the Bay.
Lewis then introduced each member of the Watermen’s panel that had been assembled, as he explained each’s personal history and specialty. They were: Oscar “Sonny” Schulz, Charles Bryan, Eddie Grimes, Joey Saddler, Calvert “Butterball” Thompson, Captain Warren Butler, Ron Newberry and Clarence Graham.
